My Mom and Dad walked us to Office Max. We always enjoy going there -- great dog biscuits. The noise level was quite high outside the store. Mom and Dad took us over to Kearney for our return walk. Mom tried to interest me in these white kittens. I wasn’t enamored and neither was Tembo. Calvin and Hobbes would have been horrified.
We’ll see what tomorrow brings!

Einstein and An Angel

Since I get to write today, I’ve enlarged my report card to point out that the Lexi girls think I’m like Einstein! Amazing. Django’s says something like he’s growing wings. We’ll skip over that and just say that we had a great time at Lexi today. Aunt LaValle and Uncle Bill walked us home.
Hobbes and Calvin missed us I think because they played with us when they saw us.
More tomorrow....

House of the Flying Fur

Mom doesn’t have many photos for today, something about it being docent Monday. That meant we were home with my Dad. Tembo and I hung out on the couch until Dad piled us in the car to go pick up Mom for lunch at Hot Lips. That was the highlight of our day. Later, Mom and Dad went to hear Beethoven’s Ninth. I think they just like to watch this Carlos Kalmar dude. Mom says he’s quite something. She’d like to hear him conduct in Vienna.
You may wonder what this photo is about. Well, let me tell you. It’s not about me. Check out all that fur, two days after Dad vacuumed as only he can vacuum, Calvin, Hobbes, and TEMBO have left their calling cards. You don’t see any black fur, just orange and yellow. I feel sorry for my Dad.
I’m hoping when it’s my turn to write again, their will be something more exciting to write about. Tembo gets all the good stuff. Where’s my Aunt Amy when I need her?

Back to the Trail

Well, Aunt LaValle outdid herself today. She took us for another walk in Forest Park. This time Uncle Bill came along. After she parked the car we headed North and walked for about a half hour and then turned around and came home. The first photo below shows Django and I snoozing in the morning sun. Great fun, he’s a good brother.

This next one is us when we first started out, must catch that Golden Retriever scent....

Uncle Bill was quite happy to be in the woods.

This next one is in the woods when we started to zoom. It’s a movie so it might not work for all of you.

Django was on his best behavior and didn’t bark when this poodle went past us. Either time, she was out for a run and looked quite fit.

And here we are at McMenniman’s hanging out under the table while Uncle Bill and Aunt LaValle have lunch. Notice the water bowl. That was nice but where was our burger?

Out on the Trail

Here we are on the Wildwood Trail just after the junction with Wild Cherry. Aunt LaValle said we would have a longer hike if we went on the Wildwood. Django and I haven’t been out on the trail in awhile so we opted for the Wildwood, more time equals more fun. Uncle Bill had dropped us off on 52nd so we could have just a do a downhill hike. He took this photo of the three of us just before we started out.

We had a grand time, the three of us ran most of the Wildwood Trail. Aunt LaValle said we paid such good attention to her that we deserved 10’s. Uncle Bill rewarded us with extra biscuits.
Aunt LaValle and Uncle Bill went downtown, left us home and we rested. When they came home, my mama’s box of vegetables had arrived. She’s sharing with Aunt LaValle. I know mama will want to see the goods and I talked Aunt LaValle into taking this picture. Good stuff, Aunt LaValle fixed quite a bit of this to cook tonight.
